Chy-Kola Chapter - Kola Lodge #464


The Order of the Arrow is a Brotherhood of honor campers. For more details, please see the National OA Site or the BSA's Order of the Arrow fact sheet.

OA members in the Frontier District make up the Chy-Kola Chapter of the Longs Peak Council's KOLA Lodge.

* Monthly Chapter Meeting

The general membership meets the first and third Tuesday of every month from 7:00-8:30 pm in the basement of the First Presbyterian Church, 220 West 22nd Street, Frontier (the basement door faces Carey Avenue and is across the street from the Taco John's restaurant). Map

* Monthly Chapter Executive Committee Meeting

The chapter officers meet the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, Cheyenne. The CEC conducts the business and planning of the chapter. All Arrowmen are welcome to attend.

* OA Troop Representatives!

If your troop does not yet have a Troop Representative, you can serve in this office if you are an active OA member. Service as an OA Troop Representative is a troop leadership position that counts toward Boy Scout rank advancement requirements, and helps your troop OA members stay in touch with what's happening in the Lodge and Chapter.

The Troop OA Representative is appointed by the troop SPL, with Scoutmaster approval, and then is supervised by the troop ASPL.

* Unit OA Elections

Troop Elections will be conducted between January 15th and March 27th. Contact the Chapter Advisor if you have a date you'd like to schedule - only one election per night - first come, first served. All unit elections MUST be conducted by a certified OA election team. Units may not conduct their own elections, even if they have OA members within their units.

Sign up for your unit OA elections at the monthly District Roundtables beginning in January, or contact the Chapter Advisor (below).

  • Christmas Tree Pickup in City of Cheyenne (January)
  • District Klondike Derby at Camp Chimney Park (February): Chy-Kola plans, organizes, and staffs this event for the district
  • Troop Elections (January through March)
  • Webelos-to-Scout & Arrow of Light Ceremonies (As needed by Cub Scout Packs)
  • W5 Section Conclave at F.E. Warren AFB (April)
  • Spring Service and Ordeal Weekends (May and June)
  • Eager Beaver Service Weekend at Camp Laramie Peak; June & July
  • Fall Ordeal Weekend (September)
  • District Food Drive (December): Chy-Kola plans, organizes, and leads this event for the district
