The BSA has issued a memo clarifying federal reporting requirements regarding IRS Form 990-N.

* Project SOAR 2008
The 2008 SOAR Patch features the Long-billed Curlew and Orangethroat Darter.
It is available at Council Scout Shops.
 
* New Phone Numbers
The Greeley Office now has a new phone system with direct dial to everyone.

* Insurance Certificate
All Longs Peak Council (non-LDS) units should print a copy of the 2008 HSR/BSA Insured Coverage Certificate and take it with them on all activities.

The Ben Delatour Scout Ranch has been recognized with a Larimer County 2007 Environmental Stewardship Award.

The Final Report presented to the Board of Trustees has been posted.
The Council Board of Trustees has selected Option #8 (nine Districts) for implementation.

* NEW Camp Medical Forms
All campers, both youth and adult, at our Colorado camps are required to use the new standard Colorado Scout Camps medical forms:
  Boy Scouts - BDSR and EHAB
  Cub Scouts - Camp Jack Nicol
Old versions of the camp medical forms no longer meet BSA and State of Colorado requirements, and WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
 
* Camp Registration
Online Registration and Payment is now available for Boy Scout Summer Camps:
BDSR (both Jeffrey and Soaring Eagle)| CLP | EHAB
 
* Camp Commissioners
Volunteer Camp Commissioners are needed each week of summer camp to help troops have a successful camp experience.

This new High Adventure Skills Resource Management Course will be June 2-7, 2008.

* National Youth Leadership Training
This course for Boy Scout Junior Leaders will be July 27 - Aug 2, 2008 at Camp Laramie Peak.
Participant applications are now online.
Applications for Adult and Youth Staff are now being accepted.
The NYLT course is NOT being cancelled. All interested Scouts should send in their applications and fees as soon as possible.
