Event Info
Ordeal Weekends
Standard Ordeal Schedule
Although some minor changes may be required for individual Ordeal induction weekends, check-in times are firmly established. Please be on time.
Each Scout is responsible for his own transportation. Each Scout and Scouter being inducted into the Order of the Arrow will need to bring:
- his or her own personal camping equipment
- work clothes and work gloves
- plenty of water
- a ground cloth for the first night (as you will be sleeping under the stars)
- rain gear and warm clothing
All meals are provided--extra food is not allowed, but eat before you arrive on Friday evening because no meal is provided that first evening.
ArrowCorps5

ArrowCorps5 is the largest, most complex, most challenging conservation project ever conceived by the Order of the Arrow. Over 8 days you will have a chance to participate in a variety of activities that may include trail building, brush removal, cleanup activities, reconstruction, and one fun-filled action packed day of adventure. These projects will have a lasting impact for generations allowing tens of thousands to enjoy the efforts of ArrowCorps5.
General Info
The Longs Peak Council's Order of the Arrow lodge is KOLA Lodge. Each District of the Council has its own OA Chapter:
(* The Centennial District was created in early 2003 by combining parts of two other districts, but the two OA chapters are still separate.)
Chapter and Lodge youth officers and adult Chapter and Lodge advisors serve from Fall Fellowship to Fall Fellowship. Youth officers are elected. Adult advisors for the lodge committees are appointed by the Lodge Advisor. The Lodge Advisor and the Chapter Advisors are appointed by the Supreme Chief of the Fire (Council Scout Executive).

Forms
Election Forms
Election teams may wish to save time by providing these forms to unit leaders in advance of the election.
- Unit Election Report Form
This form is used to record unit election results and which team conducted the election. It is retained by the chapter, not sent to the lodge.
- Consolidated Chapter Elections Report (MS Excel spreadsheet)
Chapters use this form to report the consolidated results of all the unit elections and camp promotions conducted for the year to the lodge Senior Vice Chief of Membership. Unit Election Teams should have the unit leader fill out this form so the Chapter has the necessary contact details for each candidate elected.
- Adult Candidate Recommendation Form
Note - forms are in format.
Lodge Rules
- The revised and finalized Lodge Operating Rules have been posted.
(in
format)
Camp Promotion
- One of the tasks of OA members is to encourage
their Troops to enjoy long-term camping, and Summer Camp is a great way
to help scouts grow.
- Encourage your Troop to plan now for Summer Camp at
our excellent Longs Peak Council Camps, Camp Ben Delatour (near Red
Feather Lakes, CO) and Camp Laramie Peak (near Wheatland, Wyoming).
Camp Jobs
- One great way to make our Summer Camps even better
is to have the Best Scout Campers (you! OA members!) join camp staff.
- Contact the Greeley Office for applications 1-800-800-4052.
KOLA email
- KOLA Lodge has a listserver that will automatically
send you email with information about events in the Chapter and Lodge.
It's not a lot of spam, it's only a handful of messages per month (if
that) to help you know what's up with OA. Contact your Chapter to find
out how to get on the list.
