Journey to Excellence
"Scouting's Journey to Excellence" is the BSA's program for encouraging excellence and providing quality programs at all levels of Scouting. It provides criteria for measuring unit success and health, and it replaces the old Centennial Quality Unit Award.

Criteria:
Journey To Excellence Gold achievement for 2013
Achieve Friends of Scouting patch goal by April 1, 2013
Achieve agreed upon Popcorn goal & pay by December 10, 2013
Recognition:
Longs Peak Council website recognition
Special LPC peak performance Council Strip Patch for purchase
Unit leader and committee chair will receive one complimentary Council Strip Patch
5% discount in scout shops on all non-uniform items (Uniform items include: shirts, belts, pants, etc.)
Please note: Program begins in 2013 and recognition will occur in 2014 after completing Journey To Excellence forms for 2013.

Community Service is one aspect of Journey To Excellence.
Log your service hours at the BSA's Good Turn for America page.
Units can achieve the Bronze, Silver or Gold award by meeting different levels of the criteria.
