Journey to Excellence Gold Patch
"Scouting's Journey to Excellence" is an exciting new BSA program for encouraging excellence and providing quality programs at all levels of Scouting. It provides criteria for measuring unit success and health, and it replaces the Centennial Quality Unit Award.

Packs and Troops are measured in 13 different areas and Venturing Crews are measured in 11:

  • Membership Growth
  • Trained Leadership
  • Camping
  • Service Projects
  • Webelos-to Scout Transition
  • Regularly Scheduled Meetings
  • Budget Planning
  • On-Time Registration

Units can achieve the Bronze, Silver or Gold award by meeting different levels of the criteria.
