The Longs Peak Council Project SOAR Program, under the leadership of Ray Boice, has been such a significant impact in the environmental and conservation fields that the following awards have been presented:

Youth Conservationist of the Year Award, 1980, Nebraska - Wildlife Federation
Wildlife Federation Conservation Educator of the Year, 1981 NE Wildlife Federation.
