2012 Programs

Mountain Adventure


Webelos Sessions
  4 days, 3 nights

Webelos sessions are designed for Webelos age Scouts (Scouts coming out of 3rd or 4th grades).
They will have the opportunity to spend one day in Boy Scout Camp participating in the following activities: Canoeing/Rowing, Bouldering, tomahawk throw, horseback riding ($10 additional fee) and more... While in Camp Nicol they will work on handicrafts and two of the following: Forester, Naturalist, Outdoorsman or Geologist Activity Badges. If your den is not attending camp this summer, you can still attend this session as a parent and son.

Attractions: Free Webelos Activity Pins (for the activities they complete at camp), Cracker Barrel, Campfire, Entertainment, Shower facilities, tents on platforms, cots, great shopping at Rodeo Drive Trading Post, and more!

Cost:
  • $135 per Scout
  • $65 per adult
Cost includes: lodging, meals, camp patch and all program supplies.

Wolf/Bear Sessions
  3 days, 2 nights

Wolf and Bear sessions are designed for Cub Scouts going to be a Wolf or Bear Scout (Scouts coming out of 1st or 2nd grade). These programs are designed to be a fun first time camping experience for these Scouts. If your den is not attending camp this summer, you can still attend this session as a parent and son.

Attractions: Free Belt Loops (for the activities they complete at camp), Cracker Barrel, Light Parade, Campfire, Entertainment, Shower facilities, tents on platforms, cots, great shopping at Rodeo Drive Trading Post and more!

Cost:
  • $95 per Scout
  • $50 per adult
Cost includes: lodging, meals, camp patch and program supplies.

Pack Sessions
  3 days, 2 nights

Pack sessions will be targeted as fun events for the entire Pack. Programs will not be age-specific, but will allow you to attend a session with mixed age groups. If your Pack is not attending camp this summer, you can still attend this session as a parent and son.

Attractions: Free Belt Loops (for the activities they complete at camp), Cracker Barrel, Light Parade, Campfire, Entertainment, Shower facilities, platforms, tents, cots, great shopping at Rodeo Drive Trading Post, and more!

  • $95 per Scout
  • $50 per adult
  • $25 per child 4 and under
Cost includes: lodging, meals, camp patch and program supplies.

Family Camp Sessions
  3 days, 2 nights

The family camp sessions are fun for the whole family. All family members are invited to participate in the family camp session.

Attractions: Free Belt Loops (registered Cubs only for the activities they complete at camp), Cracker Barrel, Light Parade, Campfire, Entertainment, Shower facilities, tents on platforms, cots, great shopping at Rodeo Drive Trading Post and more!

Cost:
  • $95 per Scout/youth
  • $50 per adult
  • $20 per child 4 and under
Cost includes: lodging, meals, camp patch and program supplies.

FOS Discount

If your Pack meets its FOS Camp Goal by April 1 - each Cub Scout receives a $5.00 per night discount:
  • Webelos Sessions - $15 discount
  • Wolf/Bear Sessions - $10 discount
  • Cub Scout Pack Sessions - $10 discount
  • Family Camp Sessions - $10 discount

Popcorn Sale Discount

Popcorn Sales Discounts from the 2010 Popcorn Sale are valid only for activities listed on this page. They are not valid for any other activities at Jack Nicol Cub Scout Camp. They must be used in 2011!

A limited number of Camperships are available for financial assistance to enable Scouts to attend camp. (Camperships will only be considered for Scouts registered in Longs Peak Council.)

Facilities

At Camp Nicol, all campers are housed in canvas tents set on wooden platforms. Each tent is equipped with two cots.

Meals are served cafeteria-style in the dining hall. You will be served breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

There are two shower facilities with individual stall showers.

No pets (dogs, cats or otherwise) are allowed in any of the Longs Peak Council Camps.

Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award

Tiger Cubs, Wolf and Bear Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts have the opportunity to earn the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award.

The patch is worn on the right pocket flap of the Cub Scout’s or Webelos Scout’s uniform shirt.
