The Longs Peak Council Boy Scouts of America is dedicated to providing the highest quality program for our youth and volunteers. If you want to make a difference in the lives of youth where you live, become a part of Scouting Movement as an intern, staff member, volunteer, or as a part summer camp staff.


* Full and Part Time Positions with Longs Peak Council:

Applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and two to three references to: luz@longspeakbsa.org. An additional fillable pdf will be sent to the applicant to complete and submit. Applications can also be mailed to the Greeley Service Center:

* Intern with the Boy Scouts of Longs Peak Council:

Gain career skills while serving youth in our area. Below are the options for interning with the Boy Scouts of Longs Peak Council. These positions give students and recent graduates an environment to apply their interests and programs of study to build a farther reaching Scouting program. Deadlines for each semester:
  • Fall Intern: September 15th
  • Spring Intern: December 15th
  • Summer Intern May 15th

Camp Interns should send their completed camp application and have three references complete and submit reference forms to: bstakem@bsamail.org.

* Summer Camp Employment Opportunities:

There are many great opportunities to work at out summer camps. We have a variety of positions open to teens, students, young professionals, and anyone who wants to create a great camp experience for youth in our area. For more information: http://camps.longspeakbsa.org/

Positions Available:

  • Program Area Instructors: Aquatics, Shooting Sports, -Nature, Outdoor Skills, Handicrafts, Archery, Etc. (16+)
  • Nature/Ecology/Conservation Director (21+)
  • Backpacking Guides
  • High Ropes Course Directors and Instructors (training provided, 18+)
  • Rock Climbing Director and Instructors (training provided - age 18+)
  
  • Medical Staff (First Responders, EMTs, CNAs -18+)
  • Shooting Sports Instructors (training provided)
  • Office Managers
  • Dining Hall Supervisor/Food Service Staff
  • Custodians/Dishwashers
  • Trading Post Managers (retail store)
  • Staff-in-Training (Age 15) - Spend a few weeks at camp in a variety of areas, learning what being on camp staff is like. (Unpaid position)
