Refund Policy

Boy Scout and High Adventure Camps

Troops and Crews making reservations for Camp Laramie Peak, BDSR Boy Scout Camps, and the Elkhorn High Adventure Base are advised that no reservation refunds will be made after March 1st. Additional Scouts can be added to a reservation after March 1st, but the full fee must be paid at reservation time.

The rationale for this refund change is that a great many troops have been making big reservations in the fall, and then showing up at camps with as few as half of their registered number. In the mean time other troops have been turned away because sites or camps were thought to be full. The hope is that unit leaders will be more conservative in making camp reservations when they have the understanding that new Scouts possibly can be added on later, even if it means bringing their own tents or changing a campsite.
