Public (via the WWW)
- Information available to the World
Scouter (WWW with Scouter password)
- Information to be shared within the Council's Scouting community, but not with the public
Group (WWW with Specific Group password)
- Information to be shared within a particular Group
Unit Leader (WWW with Unit password)
- Info for Leaders of particular units, or particular types of units
Administrative (WWW with a staff password)
- Information available only to specific District or
Council Positions.
Private (no WWW access - Webmasters)
- Database and configuration information on Web server.
For example:
- The Scouter password might be required for a Webelos Leader to see the list of the
Scoutmasters in his area.
- The Scouter password is required to see a list of Safe Swim Instructors.
- The OA private password is required to see a list OA Chapter (Youth) members.
- A Unit Leader password is required to see a list of District Merit Badge Counselors.
- The Troop's specific Unit Leader password would be required to enter or edit that Troop's online Camporee registration.
- The (Administrative) Camporee Registrar's or DE's
password would be required to see the list of all the Units' Camporee
registrations.
- The (Admin) DE or Webmaster password is required to Update Unit Leader contact info.
- The (Admin) DE or Webmaster password is required to Update Unit meeting location info.
- The (Admin) Registrar password is required to Update the Unit's Chartered Org or Leader Info.
- The (Admin) Registrar password is required to Add or Delete Units.
