Safe Swim Defense
From the Guide to Safe Scouting:
Before a BSA group may engage in swimming activities of any kind, a minimum of one adult leader must complete Safe Swim Defense training, ... and agree to use the eight defenses in this plan.
Safe Swim / Safety Afloat Training is available:
- As an online course at the BSA Online Training Center.
- As an adult class at Summer Camp.
- Contact these Council-approved instructors
to make arrangements for training for your unit's adult leaders:
