We are excited to offer another Longs Peak Council Trainer's EDGE Course.

Trainers EDGE builds confidence, and sharpens your training skills. Trainers EDGE is a professional level communication course. We assume you to have taken Trainer Development Conference but it is not a prerequisite. Trainer's EDGE is required for Wood Badge for the 21st Century and National Youth Leadership training staffs. Trainer's EDGE provides opportunity to enhance, and improve the existing platform competence of a trainer. Trainers EDGE is a supplement to practices offered through; Trainer Development Conference, Wood Badge, and NYLT staff development. You will have the opportunity to develop and give a presentation.

Preparation:Participants are required to plan and develop an 8 to 10 minute presentation on any BSA topic. Use any media you like - but, we suggest not using "Power Point". Your presentation should allow you to demonstrate your skills as a trainer. You will receive positive and constructive feedback on your presentation technique; skills, and delivery.
Prerequisites:Attendees must have
  • Current Youth Protection
  • Completed Fast Start and Specific Leader Training for their position.
For example, Den Leaders will need to show Den Leader Fast Start, Den Leader Specific, This is Scouting, and Youth Protection certificates and/or training record cards.
